WHO dan Badan PBB untuk Anak-anak (Unicef) melaporkan banyaknya praktik buruk pemasaran susu formula yang melanggar standar internasional. Promosi yang didengungkan ke orangtua dan petugas kesehatan sering menyesatkan. Peringatan telak Organisasi Kesehatan Dunia (WHO) seharusnya membangunkan kita untuk sebisa mungkin menjauhkan bayi kita dari susu formula. WHO secara mengejutkan mengeluarkan laporan berjudul How Marketing of Formula Milk Influences Our Decisions on Infant Feeding (Bagaimana Pemasaran Susu Formula Memengaruhi Keputusan Kita tentang Pemberian Makan Bayi).

Terbuka jalan untuk mengetahui dan memahami cetak biru manusia secara lengkap. Genom manusia sepenuhnya sudah berhasil diurutkan. Kerja besar saintifik kemanusiaan ini sangat pantas dirayakan. Para peneliti lintas negara yang berkolaborasi dalam Konsorsium Pengurutan Genom Manusia telah berhasil sepenuhnya memetakan dan mengurutkan genom (keseluruhan informasi genetika) manusia. Tak tanggung-tanggung, konsorsium ini didukung negara-negara adidaya, seperti Amerika Serikat, Inggris, Jepang, Perancis, Jerman, dan China.Proyek ini, penelitian kolaborasi besar yang dimulai sejak 1990, dan pada 2003 berhasil memetakan genom manusia, tetapi belum lengkap sepenuhnya, masih menyisakan 15 persen segmen yang belum terungkap.

Moving from Pandemic to Endemic

Experts project that this pandemic will gradually become endemic. Therefore, early on, we prepare a roadmap so that we can deal with the endemic more smoothly without turmoil. If the peak of Delta reached a fatality rate of 11,000 deaths per day, today Omicron kills 12,000 per day.
